LAP: An Agent-to-Instrument Protocol for Autonomous Science

Yet every such system rebuilds the link between the reasoning agent and the physical instrument from scratch, against fragmented vendor SDKs and standards built for deterministic software clients rather than probabilistic, goal-directed agents.
