Do you see GNN's playing a meaningful role in astrophysics research? [D]

A bit of background about myself: I have been accepted to RWTH Aachen's Computer Science program starting this fall, and one of the things that I am genuinly excited about is exploring the intersection of astrophysics and machine learning. The tricky part is that RWTH's CS department doesn't have a research group focused directly on this intersection. The two closest things I have found are the Quantum Information Systems group (I plan to reach out to the them once I am on campus to understand a bit about them) and the Learning on Graphs group which does foundational GNN research.
