The Lego Principle and the Myth of Autonomous Intelligence I have long been fascinated by the peculiar paradox at the heart of artificial intelligence: that the most sophisticated computational systems humanity has ever constructed are, at their foundational level, entirely dependent upon human judgment, human perception, and human labour.
