The next AI layer may be the system that watches and routes work

A lot of the attention right now is still on what happens once a session starts. How good the model is. How well the agent codes. How much context fits in the window. But after building with these systems more, I keep feeling that the next AI layer may be the system that notices and delegates work. Work is already scattered across your apps like slack, linear, github, email and random notes. A lot of human effort still goes into noticing what matters, deciding what is actionable, turning it into a task, carrying the right context forward, and only then handling it to an agent.
