Elon Musk’s Neuralink has been pushing advancements in the brain-computer interface (BCI) space, with patients now able to play World of Warcraft through a Neuralink brain implant. For example, Meta is developing a non-invasive magnetoencephalography scanner that lets users turn thoughts into keypresses, while Chinese outfit NeuroXess, founded in 2021, is accelerating toward human trials this year.
